Rock the Block – A Hand Up for Your Neighborhood

Pulaski County, Let’s Transform Our Community—Together!

Does your street need some TLC? Maybe an overgrown fence row, a crumbling sidewalk, or some yards that could use a refresh? You’re not alone. Many neighborhoods in Pulaski County need a little help, and that’s exactly why Rock the Block exists!

What is Rock the Block?

Rock the Block is Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County, KY’s community impact event where volunteers and neighbors work side by side for a day of cleanups, minor repairs, and revitalization. It’s about more than just curb appeal—it’s about pride, connection, and making our community a better place for everyone.

This isn’t a handout—it’s a hand up. We launched Rock the Block in 2023 on Broadway Street, and since then, we’ve continued to bring this event to neighborhoods across Pulaski County!

How It Works

✔️ The Community Chooses the Location – Each year, we select a new neighborhood based on community input.

✔️ Volunteers Make It Happen – This is a community-driven effort—Habitat provides tools and guidance, but the work gets done by neighbors, volunteers, and YOU!

✔️ We Bring the Resources – Thanks to local sponsors, city partners, and donations, we provide materials and equipment to get the job done.

✔️ Property Owner Permission is Required – We can only work on a property with the owner's approval—and we don’t work on rental properties.

✔️ Together, We Make a Lasting Impact – In just one day, we create visible, lasting change that strengthens neighborhoods and builds connections.

Why It Matters

🏡 Restores Community Pride – A well-kept neighborhood fosters a sense of belonging and security.

💪 Empowers Residents – We don’t just do the work for you; we do it with you.

🤝 Strengthens Connections – Neighbors working side by side build stronger, healthier communities.

How You Can Get Involved

💡 Nominate Your Neighborhood – Rock the Block is available to any neighborhood within Pulaski County. If your community could use some help, let us know!

🏆 Become a Rock the Block Mayor – Each neighborhood needs a leader to rally the community and help organize the effort. Could that be you?

👷 Volunteer – Whether you live in the neighborhood or just want to lend a hand, we need you to make Rock the Block a success!

🤝 Sponsor the Event – Businesses and community organizations can help provide materials, equipment, and funding to make this day happen!

📢 Spread the Word – Share this page, tell your neighbors, and help us build momentum for the next Rock the Block!

Let’s Get to Work!

Our next Rock the Block is just around the corner, and we need YOU to help decide where we go next! Drop your neighborhood suggestions below and stay tuned for an upcoming poll where YOU get to vote on our next location.
